RE: YEAR 8 ORIENTATION DAY
Year 8 Orientation Day is an important opportunity for our new Year 8 students to immerse themselves in an experience that prepares them for a successful start to secondary school.
The tailored program will allow students to explore the campus, meet new friends, settle into school life and discover the full range of services and support offered at Valley View Secondary School.
The transition from primary school to secondary school can prove to be a big step for some students and their families, so we would also like to take this opportunity to invite parents to join us for a Principal’s welcome and a small morning tea.
This is a compulsory first day for ALL year 8 students and will be held at Valley View Secondary School, there are no costs associated with this event.
Please also be aware that this schedule will go for a full day and finish at 3:10 pm and go against the normal Wednesday schedule of 2:25 pm finish.

| Time: | 8:30am arrival for an 8:40am start in the Gym 3:00pm closing session in the Gym with a 3:10pm dismissal |
| Students to bring: | Stationery, school bags, water bottle, prepared recess/lunch or money to purchase own recess and lunch from the school canteen. |
| Students to wear: | Full school uniform and hats *sunscreen provided |
