Student Representative Council

As of 2015, Valley View Secondary re-introduced the Student Representative Council.

Nominated students are involved in regular meetings that discuss and plan progress around the school that can improve and impact the school community in many ways.

Students are involved in Governing Council meetings, meetings with the Principal, collaborative discussions and planning for the school, discussing student concerns and developing strategies for improving school facilities or policies.

Students are nominated, but are also selected as being good ambassadors and representatives of our school. SRC members commit to a code of ethics that outlines the qualities they need, but also the opportunities that they can access as they build their leadership skills.

SRC members are an important part of our school and a way of our students having their voices heard by teachers, administrators, support staff, care givers, and community members.
