Valley View Secondary School is partnered with four designated feeder schools being, Para Vista Primary School, Ingle Farm Primary School, Ingle Farm East Primary School and East Para Primary School. In addition approximately 20% of student enrolments come from outside the school zone.
An open evening is held each year in March enabling parents and students to tour the facilities, meet teachers and engage in a presentation, finding out about the school.
Throughout the year Valley View Secondary School invites classes from our four designated feeder schools to visit and use specialist facilities in a primary partnership program. In most cases students engage in our Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, (STEM) program when they visit.
Towards the end of the year, November or December, we host the year 7 students whom have chosen Valley View Secondary School, to take part in an orientation program which is followed by a parent information evening.
For parents and caregivers seeking to find out more about the school and see it in operation we offer Principal’s tours on the Wednesdays of week 3 and 7 at 9:30am to 10:30am by appointment. A Principal’s tour involves a meeting with the Principal followed by a tour of classes in action. On occasions when the nominated weekly tour time is not suitable, other tours may be arranged by individual appointment.
If a student is transferring schools throughout the year we recommend a meeting with the student counsellor whom will manage the process to ensure a smooth transition with support to assist in continuity of learning.
Please phone the school on (08) 8360 6111 to make an appointment.
